This morning (Tuesday), paramedics were called to the entrance of a building in Ramat Hasharon where they found a man lying in a deep puddle. “When we came to the call we found a 40 year old man lying in this deep puddle suffering from deep hyperthermia; his body temperature was extremely low. We pulled him out of the water and started treating him. This included warming him up, resuscitation, medications and massages using a heart massage machine that we use in intensive care situations.”
The man was brought to the Meir Hospital in the midst of battling for his life. The efforts were not successful and the man was pronounced dead in the hospital.
The cause of death is being investigated. The drowning may have been caused by being the man being under the influence of alcohol.
