Hundreds of far-right protesters marched through Berlin’s former Jewish district on Saturday night, demanding Chancellor Angela Merkel’s ouster for her liberal polices which has created a wave of crime all over Germany.
Beginning at the city’s main train station, protesters chanted slogans such as “Merkel must go!” They then continued their protest march until they reached Alexanderplatz Square in the city center.
Counter-demonstrators at the same time carried out a protest and set up a blockade, which was forcibly removed by police.
