As part of maintaining the competence of the Israeli police in the north and preparations for treating and coping with extreme events, an exercise simulating terrorist infiltration into the community and capturing hostages was staged.
In the exercise swat team forces were used in conjunction with the explosives experts and negotiations department.
The exercise tested the capabilities of all units and cooperation between them in conditions as close as possible to a real-life situation.
The swat team forces are on high alert throughout the year and may be the first to arrive and handle complex situations of this type.
