Family of Girl Killed by Terrorists Raising Money for Visitor Center in Her Memory

The tragic death of 13-year-old Hallel Ariel at the hands of a Palestinian terrorist two months ago, has prompted her family to found a visitor center in her memory.

Writing in the crowd funding website Headstart, the family said, “Hallel loved working in the family vineyard and helped at every opportunity. Hallel was a girl with spiritual depth, who loved to learn and had profound insights; a girl who brought with her new strength, love and light to the world.

“Hallel loved the land … One of the things we thought about was to build an educational visitors center that people could come to, hear the story of the land, the story of the people, the story of the wine and Hallel's story.”

The Ariels already have the rudimentary plans of the visitor’s center which will cost an estimated 450,000 NIS. A 52 NIS donor will receive a letter of thank you. A 200 NIS donor will receive two tickets to a tour of the Temple Institute, where Hallel's mother Rina has been active for many years.

A 250 NIS donor will receive wine that Hallel bottled herself. Those who donated the maximum amount of 10,000 NIS will be honored as “friends” of the center and be recognized with a wooden plaque at the visitor center's inauguration ceremony.

The center is slated to be called “Hallel Vineyard” will offer tours of the family vineyard and Kiryat Arba, where Hallel grew up.
