Israel Company Nano Dimension Proves Concept of 3D Bio-Printing Stem Cells

Israeli 3D printed electronics company Nano Dimension carried out feasibility tests in May that proved the potential to print tissues derived from viable stem cells. The process uses 3D printer inkjet technology developed by the company.

Following these successful bio-printing trials, Nano Dimension Ltd. has spun-off its bio-printing activities into a new subsidiary that will conduct R&D in bio-printing.

Nano Dimension, founded in 2012, focuses on development of advanced 3D printed electronics systems with products that combine three advanced technologies: 3D inkjet, 3D software and nanomaterials.

The company's main products include the first 3D printer dedicated to printing multi-layer printed circuit boards and advanced nanotechnology-based conductive and dielectric inks.
