North Korea did an underground nuclear test, causing an earthquake: This caused tensions in Japan and China to rise and took place only an hour after Trump spoke with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe about increasing pressure on North Korea. They again got on the phone to work on joint cooperation between the US, Japan, South Korea and China against this threat which endangers the region and the world.

The South Korean media says this blast was 9.8 times stronger than the test of a year ago. Combined with more advanced missiles and miniaturized warheads the North Korean threat has grown exponentially in the past year. Add the increased boldness and belligerence Kim Jong-un gets with each step forward, it would seem that common wisdom dictates he is stopped before he carries out his plans for destruction.
