Arsonists Caught Red-Handed in Northern Jerusalem

Last Thursday, it was estimated by the Internal Security Ministry that at least half of the fires were the result of arson. On Tuesday, the Border Police working in surveillance spotted two Arab arsonists as they were lighting fires next to the Atarot industrial zone in Northern Jerusalem.
The officers quickly dispatched and guided police units to the scene to apprehend the terrorists. They were two Arab teenagers setting tires on fire. They tried to flee, but were quickly captured.
The suspects were transferred to the central police station in Jerusalem for interrogation. They are both 16-year old residents of Jerusalem, and were caught with lighters and papers for kindling in their possession. It is expected that the two will be brought before a judge to have their arrests extended.
