With votes pouring in across the country, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has resorted to what he does best: bash Hillary Clinton. At a rally in Sarasota, Florida, Trump lamented a “rigged system” that allowed rival Hillary Clinton to compete against him for president.
In fact, he said, “Hillary Clinton should not even be allowed to run for the presidency of the United States. She shouldn't be allowed to run. It's disgraceful. What's happening… is a disgrace and our country is a laughingstock all over the world. With what's happening with our 'justice,' our country is a laughingstock all over the world. They're laughing. Nobody in this room can believe what's going on with the FBI and what's going on with the Department of Justice. No one.”
Trump continued by noting, “Real change also means restoring honesty to government. We'll start by getting rid of Clinton, all right? That'll be a good start. Hillary Clinton is the most corrupt person ever to seek the office of the presidency of the United States. The investigations into her crimes will go on for a long, long time.” Despite the fact that her “crimes,” as Trump refers to them, haven't resulted in an arrest has yet to deter Trump: “The rank and file special agents at the FBI won't let her get away with these terrible crime.”
What is the presidential candidate's solution? Old-school justice: “Look, we are going to deliver justice the way justice used to be in this country: at the ballot-box on November 8th we're going to do something so special. It will be so special. It will be an amazing day. It'll be called 'Brexit Plus Plus Plus,' you know what I mean?”
Will the results be “special” and “amazing”? Only One knows.
