A few short hours after Rabbi Shteinman’s passing even before his burial a special brit took place in the Ludmir Synagogue in the Shikun Hey (fifth quarter) neighborhood of Bnei Brak where a baby boy was the first one to be named after Rabbi Aharon Yehudah Leib Shteinman.
The 8 day old boy is the grandson of philanthropist Rabbi Eliyahu Wertheimer and the one who made the brit was the Rosh Yeshiva of Ateret Shlomo and Beit Yehuda, Rabbi Chaim Feinstein.
According to b’Chadrei Charedim when Rabbi Feinstein got to saying over the baby’s name Aharon Yehudah Leib he burst into tears and had difficulty completing the blessing of the brit with the people around him also crying.
May this baby merit filling the great shoes of his namesake and fill the world with Torah!
