National nursing care program is launched: Health Minister Yaakov Litzman and Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon announced a national nursing care program for chronically ill and elderly patients needing nursing care. The stipend will rise from 3,432 shekels to 5,000. In addition homebound patients will be entitled to home visits from doctors, nurses and physio-therapists. Minister Litzman said: “Enabling people to live long is not good enough; we must enable them to live better.”

Afghani Policeman hugged suicide bomber sacrificing his life as he prevented a mass terror attack. “Only” 14 policemen were killed instead of hundreds of people participating at a convention at a Kabul hotel. Sayad Bassam identified the terrorist trying to enter the convention and bear hugged him to prevent him. Other policemen approached as they saw the struggle and were all killed when the suicide bomber detonated his device he was wearing. Sayad is a hero in Afghanistan today.
