Itamar Ohana age 19 still wasn’t found after disappearing in the northern part of the Sea of Galilee. His family insists that the search for him continues.
“Together with hope and optimism is a hard feeling… we want to have something tangible not to be alone with nothing to hug and kiss” said Hananel Ohana, Itamar’s brother to the army radio.
The bodies of the 2 other young men Liron Karadi and Nachman Itach were found by sonar and divers. They were on a floating mattress that was swept out into the middle of the Kinneret when they disappeared.
Hananel says “he went in to save his friends. He was a special young man, all good. The search is concentrated on the northern part of the Kinneret where the other 2 were found. A navy team together with police is looking for him and we’re waiting for news.”
“We know he is no longer alive, we just want a grave to be able to go up to. We’re focused on finding him to have something to see and go to, to be able to look at the water and not go mad.”
Hananel turns to us his Jewish brothers asking for further support for his family: “Am Yisrael, stay with us and continue to strengthen us, don’t leave us alone, help us. Without you we will fall”.
