The Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron is proving to be one of the popular attack points by Palestinian terrorists.
A stabbing was averted in September, when two Palestinian terrorists attempting to attack Border Police officers there were shot dead, and two 14-year-old Palestinians carrying long knives were detained at a checkpoint near the cave.
Now a 23-year-old Palestinian man behaving suspiciously was arrested attempting to enter the compound. When he refused to be searched, police arrested him and he was found in possession of a knife. Under questioning he confessed his intention to carry out an attack.
