Two Israelis policemen were seriously wounded Monday morning in a terror attack in the Old City of Jerusalem.
The terrorist followed the two officers from Damascus Gate, and the suddenly drew out a knife when he closed in on his victims near Herod’s Gate. He stabbed the two officers in the upper body repeatedly until one pulled out his gun and neutralized him.
MDA emergency response teams provided first aid to the wounded before evacuating them to local hospitals. The 38-year old female officer was seriously injured in her neck, and was transported to Shaare Tzedek Hospital for treatment. The 45-year old male officer was moderately injured and is being treated in Hadassah Ein Karem.
Half a dozen terror attacks have taken place in East Jerusalem and the territories since Friday.
